The CEU Vienna Campus at Central European University (CEU) invites applications for a Commuter Support Assistant. The initial contract is for a one year with the possibility of renewal; the probation period is one month.
The successful candidate will ensure that employees and commuters working on the CEU Vienna campus are supported with their commute, and feel at home and safe in Vienna The successful candidate will also potentially help assist employees relocating to Vienna during the next phase.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Initially answer all requests for support regarding accommodation and any commuting issues that arise, e.g. accessing healthcare, with fast and solution-oriented responses.
  • Deal directly with providers of accommodation and other services to our commuters and employees
  • Understand personal needs of employees quickly and find individual solutions based on solid knowledge in the field.
  • Analyze requests also on both case-based and generalized levels for communication to colleagues and management (to feed strategies and further planning).

Qualifications:

Required education, experience and competences:

  • Junior person (3-5 years experience) with a BA in the field of business management, tourism, or communication sciences
  • Responsible team player
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German
  • Experience in the field of tourism or hotel management (e.g. at a reception/administration of a hotel)
  • Some negotiation skills
  • Client oriented, supportive, warm ,welcoming, friendly, but able to manage expectations across a wide variety of employee profiles
  • Database skills required to collect individual preferences and institutional requirement (agenda of commuters)
  • Prepare and analyze data for reporting purposes or to support new initiatives
  • Manages to support people in situations of individual urgency
