The Human Resources Office at Central European University (CEU) invites applications for an Employee Service Coordinator position. The Employee Service Coordinator reports to the Payroll Manager.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing relevant email account(s): answering and handling the Hungarian and Austrian employees’ questions and requests;
  • Being involved in payroll and social security-related tasks;
  • Knowledge of payroll processes of all entities;
  • Accurate response for the incoming help-desk e-mails, keeping the deadline;
  • Collecting the frequently received questions and answers into a handbook;
  • Sharing the payroll and social security-related information received by e-mail with the affected colleagues;
  • Continuously updating the knowledge of payroll and social security legislation;
  • Checking the social security calculations;
  • Processing payroll for all entities and based on freelancer contracts;
  • Processing social security calculations;
  • Handling tax returns, statistics and other data;
  • Dealing with employment and income certificates accurately;
  • Updating the personal data changes in Nexon based on an employee submit;
  • Keeping contact and cooperating with CEU employees and their supervisors for payroll-related and master data and information and other internal support teams
  • Keeping contact and cooperating with external service providers to complete perfect payroll

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Demonstrated (2-3 years) and also recent and relevant payroll and social security processing experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Hungarian Payroll and Social Security legislations
  • Good knowledge of the English language (verbal & written)
  • Experience with NexonBér and/or NexonTime
  • High-level of accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to work under own initiative and not requiring day-to-day supervision,
  • Ability to carry out manual calculations
  • Highly motivated with excellent organizational skills
  • High-level communication skills
