Hungarian Teacher

The Center for Academic Writing at Central European University (CEU) invites application for an experienced Hungarian language teacher. The initial contract is for one year with a possibility of renewal.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teaching Hungarian language classes
  • Preparing teaching material for the courses
  • Preparing and correcting placement tests during registration periods
  •  Submitting grades in a timely fashion
  • Keeping a register of class attendance
  • Preparing a course description for each course


  • BA or higher degree and a teacher training degree/course in Hungarian is essential
  • Experience teaching in a multi-cultural environment
  • Evidence of excellence and experience in the field of Hungarian teaching
  • Minimum intermediate level of English
