The InnovationsLab at Central European University (CEU) invites applications for an iLab Coordinator & SEO Specialist position. The initial contract is for one year, with the possibility of renewal.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible to provide support to iLab director and iLab teams in all operational issues
  • Main contact point for teams in a rapidly changing organization
  • Responsible for administering the budget
  • Coordinate and organize iLab events
  • Work with iLab Director to manage iLab applications
  • Manage CEU InnovationsLab social media content and postings (website, FB, Twitter, Linkedin)
  • Engage with iLab management, mentors, iLab teams to establish SEO goals, objectives, and strategies
  • Create content recommendations for and research on multiple verticals (e.g., startup recruitment, professional services etc.)
  • Develop comprehensive recommendations for on- and off-site content optimization; focusing on keyword coverage and maximizing performance — including press release optimization
  • Work cross-functionally (particularly with Paid Search, Analytics and web development)
  • Contribute to iLab thought leadership (department blog, presenting startup look-out topics internally)
  • Monitor iLab SEO performance and perform keyword-level research using industry-standard tools, including third-party software and Web Analytics packages
  • Utilize social media outlets and assets for the benefit of SEO campaign performance
  • Audit iLab’s web architecture to ensure the site is properly constructed to maximize visibility
  • Craft heavily-researched keyword lists and documentation backed by multiple data sets for ensured relevancy and performance
  • Work with Director to create mentorship programs and maintain outreach relationship
  • Coordinate the incubation program, including capstone project program, bootcamp deadlines and procedures.

We are looking for someone who is a quick learner who is highly organized and comfortable working across many projects. You will possess a self-starting positive attitude, along with the ability to thrive in an autonomous environment and a willingness to learn. You will actively keep on top of what’s really working and have strong opinions about the implications of strategic SEO approaches.

Naturally you’re a data junkie and can perform magic with Excel to discover new opportunities and insights. You’re at home with all the usual tools: Ahrefs, MOZ, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Microsoft office applications, web editing and plenty more.


  • University degree
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience (e.g. managing data, working with a budget)
  • Fluent English language skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to organize and disseminate information, tailoring as necessary to diverse target groups
  • Comfortable working in a highly international, diverse, rapidly evolving, extremely dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Two to three years of relevant SEO experience
  • Coding skills are a bonus


  • Project management experience,
