The Social Mind Center at Central European University invites applications for a Lab Manager position working in the laboratory of Professor Natalie Sebanz and Professor Guenther Knoblich. The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal.

Duties and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will help the researchers at the Department organize their research activities, which consist of experimental psychology research on human (social) cognition. Responsibilities include recruiting participants and maintaining a database, preparing experimental setups, collecting data and performing general administrative/organizational tasks related to the Lab routine.

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will have at least a BA or equivalent degree in any discipline and will be fluent in English and in Hungarian in both oral and written communication. Applications are especially welcome from candidates with:

  • A master's degree (MA/MS) in Psychology or Cognitive Science
  • Familiarity with collecting behavioral and neuro-physiological data in experiments on human participants
  • Strong organizational skills and strong time management
  • A commitment to maintain high professional standards
  • A positive attitude and friendliness
  • The ability to work as a member of a highly motivated team
  • An appreciation of an environment with people from different cultures
