The Social Mind Center at Central European University invites applications for a part-time (20 hours/week) Lab Manager position. The candidate will be working in the Social Mind Center’s laboratory, directed by Professor Natalie Sebanz and Professor Guenther Knoblich. The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal.

Duties and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work with the researchers at the Department on organizing their research activities, which consist of experimental psychology research on human (social) cognition. Responsibilities include recruiting participants and maintaining a database, preparing experimental setups, collecting data, and performing general administrative/organizational tasks related to the Lab routine.



 Successful applicants must have at least a BA or equivalent degree in any discipline and should be fluent in English and in German in both oral and written communication. Applications are especially welcome from candidates with:

• A master’s degree (MA/MS) in Psychology or Cognitive Science

•Familiarity with collecting behavioral and neuro-physiological data in experiments on human participants

• Strong organizational skills and strong time management skills

• A commitment to maintaining high professional standards

• A positive attitude and a cooperative disposition.

• The ability to work as a member of a highly motivated team

• An appreciation of working in a culturally diverse environment.



 We offer a competitive annual gross salary of EUR 22,000, that is commensurate with experience as well as a dynamic and international academic environment.
