The Center for Academic Writing at Central European University, Vienna invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic unit that ensures the high standard of academic writing within the university through taught courses and individual consultation with students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In response to the needs of Bachelors, Masters and PhD level students, the Lecturer will deliver program-specific academic writing courses, conduct individual consultations and contribute to course design. The Lecturer will be expected to be present full-time at the Vienna campus of CEU. Selection Criteria:

  • PhD degree.
  • Preference for a degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics or related field at Masters level or above
  • Evidence of excellence and experience in teaching in the field of academic writing at university level.
  • Expertise in designing and delivering online teaching programs a strong advantage.
  • Experience teaching in a multi-cultural environment.

Compensation
We offer a competitive yearly salary above 42,000 EUR, commensurate with experience as well as additional benefits (e.g. pension plan). The initial contract is for three years with the possibility of renewal.
