The Department of Economics and Business at Central European University ( invites applications for an Open Rank Faculty position in the areas of applied theory, financial economics and applied econometrics with a focus on machine learning. The initial contract is for 6 years for candidates who qualify for the Assistant Professor rank; continued employment depends on outcome of review. The initial contract for candidates who qualify for the Associate Professor rank is for up to 4 years (renewable). For applicants who qualify for a Full Professor rank, the contract is indefinite.

Responsibilities include teaching and producing high quality research. Compensation and teaching load will be competitive with top European academic institutions. Applicants who qualify for the Assistant professor rank should have - or be close to completing- a PhD and demonstrate strong potential in research and teaching.

We offer an internationally competitive compensation package. The salary band for this position begins at but exceeds 65,000 EUR/year.
