The Human Resources Office at Central European University (CEU) invites applications for a Payroll Administrator position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for every payroll-related administration task and for providing a service-oriented environment for  CEU employees with payroll inquiries. The Payroll Administrator will work closely with the Payroll Coordinators within the team.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Sorting and handing out incoming mail to payroll team members. 
  • Mailing out documents prepared by payroll coordinators.
  • Printing exit papers, managing signing procedures, filling in the social security booklets with necessary dates and saving the scanned version, then mailing the package to the employee.
  • Preparing and sending monthly and annual reports to pension funds and the insurance company.
  • Ensuring that the document storage and the personal documents are properly kept in order.  
  • Providing help to the payroll team in all administrative tasks as requested. 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated at least 1 year of administrative work experience.
  • Good knowledge of the English and Hungarian languages (verbal & written).
  • Thorough knowledge of Excel and experience with NexonBér and / or NexonTime is advantageous.
  • High-level accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently without requiring daily supervision.
  • Ability to initiate improvements.
  • Interested in working in payroll.
