Central European University (CEU) invites applications for a part-time (20 hours/week) Program Coordinator position in Budapest. The initial contract is for 1 year. The program coordinator will support the launch of a new Open Society University Network (OSUN) certificate program offering online coursework in global educational policy development to university students and practitioners from around the world.


Main responsibilities:

  • Managing the course enrollment, teaching schedule, and room assignments of the program.
  • Liaising with other university offices at CEU for Student Records, Budget, Communications, Executive Education Hub etc.
  • Liaising with relevant offices at the project’s institutional partners in the OSUN network.
  • Providing high-level administrative support to program co-directors, faculty fellows, students, and guests.
  • Organizing online academic and social events, and project-related meetings for partners and stakeholders.
  • Managing project-affiliated courses in CEU’s learning management system.
  • Keeping the project’s website up-to-date


Required skills and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work independently and to keep strict deadlines.
  • Experience working with online learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, MS Teams).
  • Experience working with SAP.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Open-mindedness.


  • Previous work experience at CEU or other highly internationalized higher education institutions.
