The Executive Education Hub (ExEd Hub) at Central European University (CEU) invites applications for a Program Manager position in Vienna. As part of the ExEd team, the successful candidate will work in close collaboration with CEU’s academic and administrative units, Open Society University Network (OSUN) partners and the OSUN Secretariat at CEU on the design, planning and implementation of the ExEd Hub programs  to develop the structures and processes for its sustainable long-term operations and expansion.  

The ExEd Hub’s main goals are to support the delivery of existing professional CEU degrees and activities, to transform some of the existing degree programs into professional programs, and to develop new programs. The focus of the Program Manager’s portfolio will be on international marketing and recruitment, development of revenue generating components of the ExEd Hub programs, fundraising and donor relations. 


Duties and responsibilities: 

  • Manage and support CEU executive and professional education programs and activities as directed by the ExEd Director; proactively engage with and support various CEU units. 
  • Develop familiarity and proactive relations with OSUN institutions and programs; develop an understanding of OSUN partners’ resources, capacities and needs in the field of executive education and professional development; contribute to the alignment and coordination between ExEd Hub and related Open Society University Network (OSUN) programs. 
  • Provide support to implementing academic sub-units and ensure consistency in developing a structure of credits, credentials and degree requirements, such as policies and procedures for recruiting, selection and admission of students to the ExEd Hub programs. 
  • Taking an active part in designing and implementing ExEd Hub’s global student recruitment strategy. 
  • Provide proactive support to the Director and academic Program Heads in the design and management of a comprehensive sales strategy for the ExEd Hub programs, with a particular focus on digital marketing and social media presence. 
  • Develop a costing and fees model for the ExEd Hub programs and structure, policies and procedures for scholarships and financial aid for identified target audiences. 
  • Work with CEU and OSUN fundraising and development teams on identifying sources of external funding and revenue from program delivery; develop grant applications. 
  • Actively liaise with partners and colleagues involved in the program delivery on their needs and feedback on the progress of program implementation, design channels and tools for feedback and evaluation, and promote ExEd Hub’s capacity, development, and expansion. 
  • Contribute to the set-up and maintenance of ExEd Hub’s website and other communication and media tools. 
  • Support the ExEd Director in developing and presenting regular reports on ExEd Hub’s development and implementation progress to OSUN and CEU leadership. 



  • College/university degree in social sciences, humanities, economics or management 
  • Experience in management of professional and executive education, including sales 
  • Proven entrepreneurial orientation and access to networks in the field of higher education, executive, professional and online education. 
  • Minimum five years of experience in development (e.g. programs, training design or education project development) and management of education.  
  • Near-native fluency in English, strong communication skills. 
  • Deep familiarity with digital and social media marketing, including experience with running sponsored social media content.  
  • Full computer literacy, confident use of Office programs, databases and web editing software. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as a part of a geographically scattered team.  
  • Precision, attention to detail, priority setting, multi-tasking 
  • Excellent time-management and self-discipline, ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. 
  • Flexibility and reasonable accommodation for working with partners across different time zones and organizational settings.  
  • Friendly, attentive, and pro-active demeanor 
  • Experience of working in a multicultural environment. 


  • Postgraduate degree is an advantage. 
  • Fluency with online training design and management is a strong advantage. 
  • Familiarity with graphical design software (Adobe package). 



We offer a competitive salary starting from gross 50,000 EUR/year. The salary will be commensurate with the chosen candidate’s experience. The initial contract is for one year, with a possibility of renewal.
