The Institutional Research Office invites applications for a Senior Business Analyst position. 

Role description:

  • Engage with Unit Heads and take a leading role in creating models and implementing core institutional reports and analytics to support operational decisions 
  • Build data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to the university’s senior leadership executives and unit heads
  • Pull data from different sources with the help of data owners (SAP, student and employee databases, excel, other) for analyzing and reporting dashboards, data trends, in a visualization that is easy to oversee
  • Identify and specify needs for data, making sure data and calculations are consistent with other reports, and technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable.
  • Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for a business
  • Collect relevant information and provide status reports towards management on all on-going projects
  • Prepare cost-benefit analysis, project cost forecasts and follow-up report

Required skills and competences:

  • College/University degree of Economics or Business or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • Fluent English and Hungarian – both spoken and written 
  • German preferred
  • MS Office (word, excel, power point) – advanced level
  • BI Portal, Tableau, BW or other analytics tools – advanced level
  • Experience in financial and cost-benefit analyses combined with understanding of key performance indicators
  • Analytical thinking and problem solving
  • Detail-orientation and high-level of accuracy
  • Good organizational skills
  • Extensive communication skills
  • Processes modeling preferred
  • Understanding of networks, databases and other technology
