The Student Records Office is responsible for overseeing enrollment, matriculation, course registration, credit transfer, the preparation of diplomas, issuing transcripts and certificates upon request, as well as keeping students’ academic records. It also monitors the submission of grades and administers the conferring of various academic achievement awards. Furthermore, SRO provides assistance regarding degree verification, and manages the functions of the information systems of the university related to academic matters.

Tasks and responsibilities:
The Student Records Assistant provides administrative assistance to the office in the following areas:

  • Filing, issuing and maintaining student documents, records
  • Handling general inquiries regarding SRO related matters
  • Coordinating and executing the Austrian diploma and diploma supplement preparation
  • Keeping in touch with relevant colleagues and units of CEU in Austrian educational matters
  • Assisting in reporting to Austrian authorities
  • Handling the university information systems (UIS, SITS) - administering and entering course and student (enrollment) data
  • Liaising with department coordinators and colleagues from other units of CEU
  • Participating in preparing developments and testing new functions in SITS

Qualifications and skills:

  • Accuracy, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and keeping the deadlines
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Experience of working in multicultural environment and/or at a university
  • Pro-active personality with very good problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written) in English. German is an advantage.
  • Higher level computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Experience in working with databases, especially in an academic environment

Commensurate with experience. However, we offer a competitive salary, as well as a dynamic and international environment. The initial contract is for one year with the possibility of renewal.
