Description
Central European University (CEU) is seeking candidates for a full-time Student Recruitment Officer position within the Student Recruitment Office. Reporting directly to the Director of Student Recruitment, the Student Recruitment Officer will be responsible for planning and executing recruitment activities for CEU’s degree programs. The Student Recruitment Officer must have a strong command of English and excellent presentation skills.
This position is a full-time maternity leave replacement with a fixed-term contract for one year with the possibility of extension, based in Vienna.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and execute CEU’s student recruitment activities
  • Organize events (info sessions, webinars, presentations, group visits, etc.) for prospective students and applicants to raise the profile of the university and to increase the number of high-quality student applications
  • Hold recruitment presentations
  • Hold events for prospective and admitted students
  • Work closely with designated academic departments in support of their recruitment plans and activities
  • Respond to prospective students’ inquiries, provide applicant counseling
  • Work with external stakeholders (e.g. high schools and other universities) to promote CEU’s degree programs
  • Engage students and alumni in recruitment activities
  • Participate in education fairs, conferences, and other outreach events to attract target audiences of the university
  • The position is located in Vienna but travel is part of the job
  • Additional work commitments after office hours (occasional events on and off campus)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Min. 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills
  • Experience in working in a multicultural environment, at a higher education institution, or in sales is an advantage
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and highly organized team player but also able to work independently
  • Flexible and service-oriented personality
  • Detail-oriented, precise, and diligent working attitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive, open, enthusiastic and solution-oriented
  • Committed to learning and professional development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and keep deadlines

Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary starting from a gross of 40,000 EUR/year. A higher salary is possible if warranted by the candidate’s working experience. This position is a full-time maternity leave replacement with a fixed-term contract for one year with the possibility of extension, based in Vienna.
