Overall objectives of the job

 

To provide students with information required to satisfy mandatory administrative requirements set by the Austrian regulations and CEU's rules and regulations, focusing on health insurance, well-being, and student family support. Provide high quality service to all enrolled students in close cooperation with other CEU service units and external partners.

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

-                      Assisting in students’ arrival and leaving procedures

-                      Keeping contact with the Austrian National Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK), ÖH, Insurance Companies

-                      Advising students on all university related issues via phone and email

-                      Compiling reports on relevant topics in a timely manner

-                      Fostering and continuously monitoring all enrolled students' insured status in Austria

-                      Managing and administering the health insurance status of all students, and advising them on relevant procedures

-                      Compiling monthly financial reports to the relevant Insurers in collaboration with the direct supervisor

-                      Informing and updating students on general policies and procedures

-                      Providing day-to-day assistance to students on various matters

-                      Assisting student parents on insurance and financial benefits/main contact for student parents

-                      Annual update on the relevant Student Family Support policy with the direct supervisor

-                      Regular update of the unit’s website

-                      Be available to students in the Student Center during opening hours

-                      Administering Enrollment Change of Status process in the student database regarding health insurance eligibility, informing students and insurers

-                      Liaising with the CEU Medical Center(s) regarding the Medical Forms and special cases /disabilities in collaboration with the direct supervisor(s)

 

Requirements

-                      Bachelor’s degree required

-                      Precision, attention to detail, priority-setting, multi-tasking

-                      Ability to work independently

-                      Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines

-                      Ability to balance sensitivity towards student needs with ensuring student adherence to university and program regulations

-                      Discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential information

-                      Multicultural orientation and open-mindedness

-                      Good organizational and interpersonal skills

-                      Creative and problem-solving personality

-                      Friendly, attentive and pro-active, customer-oriented attitude

-                      Intercultural and interpersonal sensitivity

-                      Full computer literacy and knowledge of web content editing

-                      Proficiency in spoken and written English and German is required

 

Main internal stakeholders

All enrolled students (and in some cases their dependents) completing studies in Austria.

 

Competencies

In-depth understanding of students’ obligatory administrative requirements set by the Austrian Law or CEU's rules and regulations with specific focus on health insurance and student family support.
