The Student Records Office at Central European University (CEU) invites applications for two Testing Assistant positions.

 

Overview of Student Records Office

The Student Records Office (SRO) provides a wide array of services related to the academic aspect of studying at CEU. The office is responsible for overseeing enrollment and course registration, the preparation of diplomas, as well as keeping students’ academic records. It also monitors the submission of grades and administers the conferring of various academic achievement awards. Furthermore, it coordinates the Apostille procedure, provides assistance regarding course registration procedures, degree verification, and manages the functions of the university’s information system (SITS) related to academic matters.

 

The Testing Assistant will fulfill the following duties:

  • Understanding CEU’s current administrative structure/daily work related to Student Records Office;
  • Understanding the structure and working of SITS;
  • Testing newly created and submitted data in SITS (testing environment) based on instructions from SITS team;
  • Direct communication with SITS project team and SRO team;
  • Liaising with department coordinators and colleagues from other units of CEU if needed

 

Qualifications and skills:

  • Educated to Bachelors’ level
  • Ability to work individually and in a team;
  • Precision, attention to detail, service-oriented attitude;
  • Ability to work under pressure and keeping the deadlines;
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills;
  • Experience in a similar position and in working with databases, especially in an academic environment is an advantage;
  • Experience of working in a multicultural environment and/or at a university;
  • Knowledge of university structures and processes is an advantage;
  • Pro-active personality with very good problem solving and communication skills (verbal and written) in English and preferably in German;
  • Higher level computer literacy (MS Office),

 

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience as well as a dynamic and international academic environment. This is a fixed-term position till July 31, 2021 with a possibility of renewal.
