The Budget and Finance Office at Central European University invites applications for the position of Treasury Controller.

The Treasury controller is responsible for:

  • Planning daily / weekly liquidity with an annual outlook
  • Monitoring CEU’s bank accounts, ensuring liquidity on all accounts, in all currencies
  • Deposit excess cash to generate interest income
  • Continuous monitoring of exchange rates (especially EUR, HUF and USD), proposing currency conversions
  • Administration of bank and other loans: preparation of bank compliance documents, preparation of intercompany loan contracts, monitoring of loan repayments, checking bank notices.
  • Preparation of all related budgets: loans, interest income, interest expense, repayments, guarantees.
  • Regularly analyze budget vs fact results
  • Participation in year-end closing, provision of accruals, valuation of open treasury transactions
  • Any other, more complex banking administration

The ideal candidate should have:

  • At least bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or management
  • At least 3-4 years of professional experience in the field of Finance
  • Big4 or banking experience is an advantage
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Languages: native Hungarian, intermediate English
  • Accountability, ability to meet deadlines and set priorities
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong work ethic is a must
  • Appreciation of an environment with people from different cultures

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience. However, we offer a competitive salary, as well as a dynamic and international academic environment.
