Department of Cognitive Science Hosts Europe’s Largest Conference in the Field

CEU’s Department of Cognitive Science hosted the 18th Meeting of the European Society for Cognitive Psychology in Budapest Aug. 29-Sept. 1. Held biannually, it is the biggest cognitive psychology meeting in Europe. More than 765 researchers from 38 countries attended and reported their newest findings on the study of the human mind. Keynote speakers included Glyn Humphrey (Oxford University), Nancy Kanwisher (MIT), and Michael Tomasello (Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology). The speakers covered different aspects of social cognition related to the department's focus: social perception, processing of self-related information, and collaboration.
