Three CEU delegates took part in the European Universities Debating Championship, an annual British parliamentary debate competition and the largest student debate event in Europe. The tournament gathers some 700 people every year, including at least 500 speakers. This year's championship was hosted by the University of Manchester Debating Union and attracted over 100 institutions representing 46 European and Middle Eastern countries. CEU's Debate Society attended for the third year in a row. Representing CEU were Alex Moise and Endre Borbath, students in the two-year political science MA program, and Ana Gurau, 2011 alumna of the Department of Public Policy, as part of a larger Hungarian delegation that included teams from Corvinus and ELTE universities. CEU’s competitors participated thanks to the direct support of the University.
