Locally Grown, Organic Food Delivery Service Begins at CEU

August 13, 2013

Weekly deliveries of fresh, locally grown, organic produce and other food products began at CEU on July 16. Organized by Sustainable CEU and the Campus Sustainable Advisory Committee (CSAC), in cooperation with Szatyor Egyesulet, a Budapest-based food co-op, this convenient service is now available to the University and Open Society Foundations (OSF) community. Szatyor (www.szatyorbolt.hu or www.szatyoregyesulet.hu) has developed a fair and equitable means of linking Budapest to environmentally conscious food producers operating near the city.

Products ordered by CEU and OSF faculty, staff, or students through Szatyor’s online system by 10 p.m. Thursday evenings will be delivered to CEU the following Tuesday afternoon. To learn more about available food selections, and how to order products online for delivery to CEU, contact sustainability@ceu.hu.
