CEU’s Summer University Welcomes Students

CEU established its Summer University in 1996. A meeting place for academics and professionals to look beyond their disciplinary boundaries, SUN kicked off last week with 15 courses, close to 500 participants from 97 countries, and 165 professors. Courses range from the research-intensive to the policy-focused, and this year, SUN also offers three courses that examine questions of morality from a variety of angles: Moral Epistemology, Applied Philosophy and Evolutionary Origins and Cognitive Mechanisms of Morality, and a range of online courses (with the option of a residential phase in Budapest) to assist doctoral students and junior researchers in writing their dissertation and developing and refining their research projects. For a first-hand account on SUN’s Morality course, see student Jim Everett’s blog at http://www.jimaceverett.com/ceu-summer-2014.html
