CEU President and Rector John Shattuck gave a speech titled "How Hot the New Cold War? Russia, Ukraine and Eastern Europe" at the Yale Club in New York City on Oct. 31.
From the annexation of Crimea to Russian dominance in the European energy market, the world has had a wake-up call regarding the power and intentions of Putin and Russia. Shattuck predicts that "relations with Russia will continue to heat up until the U.S. and Europe respond more effectively than they have so far."
