Bohle, Greskovits Awarded Stein Rokkan Prize

Dorothee Bohle, professor in the Department of Political Science, and Bela Greskovits, professor in the Department of International Relations and European Studies, have been awarded the Stein Rokkan Prize by the International Social Science Council and the European Consortium for Political Research.

The jury chose unanimously to honor Bohle and Greskovits, calling them the leading analysts of political economy of Central and Eastern Europe, in recognition of their book "Capitalist Diversity on Europe’s Periphery," published by Cornell University Press in 2012. The prize will be awarded at the World Social Science Forum in Montreal Oct. 13-15. Greskovits is the first Hungarian to win this prestigious award, and Bohle is the third German to be honored.
