Funding:
EC DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology

The CMCS, in partnership with the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (CMPF) at the European University, is conducting a collaborative project aimed at strengthening practical support mechanisms for journalists in Europe. This project responds to the growing need to safeguard media freedom, freedom of expression and freedom of information rights in the EU and across Europe, as guaranteed by the EU Charter for Fundamental Rights, and according to the standards of the Council of Europe and OSCE.

Specifically, this project focuses on enhancing legal support and resources for European journalists and media outlets facing threats and violations of their editorial freedoms and freedom of expression rights.
