Hate Speech Monologues

March, 2016 to September, 2017

The Hate Speech Monologues, as a theatrical performance, is one of the very few platforms at CEU where students have a chance to touch upon a crucial aspect of the human connection of their research and interest areas. The participating students are coming from both social science and humanities departments. The Hate Speech Monologues has created an artistic and conversational opportunity where the students are reflecting on prejudices and discrimination that they are engaged with both academically and personally. With the insights and sensibilities of the theater, poetry, storytelling, music and participatory discussion often following the performance, the Hate Speech Monologues has enriched the studies and research of the students at CEU and its aftermath, as well as the human connections and mutual respect in the CEU community.
