SWAT modelling in the Upper Don River subcatchment

The project is devoted to application of Soil Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) modelling in the Upper Don River to assess water availability and corresponding EGS provision in the Upper Don River under different conditions. Four scenarios of potential regional development including land use and climate changes have been formulated and analyzed. It was found that all scenarios result in significant change of important hydrological characteristics of the Upper Don River subcatchment by 2050, and the water inflow into the Tsimlyansk reservoir will be reduced by 28-36% in the region.
