This project aims to assess the state of scholarship on visions and define how their analysis, which evolved principally within the humanities, could be enriched by insights from other disciplines including sociology, social anthropology, psychology and cognitive science. For this it invites a group of Hungarian and international scholars with outstanding expertise in this field for a three-day workshop at CEU to discuss interdisciplinary connections along four predefined questions pertaining to the study of visions and its relevance. Besides identifying concrete directions for multi-disciplinary collaboration that would thrust this area of research further, the workshop will also convey how the study of visions could illuminate other issues currently at the core of social and behavioral sciences.
