Hungarian national radio’s Jelenlet program dealing with Roma topics interviewed Angela Kocze, leading Hungarian Roma rights activist and scholar, research fellow at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences; and Anna Fejos PhD student at the Bremen International School of Social Sciences (GEND’13), about their research projects. Angela participated as a teacher, while Anna as a student in CEU’s “Performing Romani Identities: Strategy and Critique”, a two-week Summer University course.

Hungarian daily’s weekend edition, Magyar Nemzet – Hetvege Melleklet, carries an interview with Noel Lenski, head of the Department of Classics (Latin and Greek Language and Literature) at the University of Colorado, Boulder, who will be directing the Yale Department of Classics from January. According to the professor, a lot more parallels can be drawn between the present-day United States and Europe and the Roman Empire than we would think. Lenski is teaching the CEU SUN course “Luminosus Limes” in 2014.
