CEU Business School alumni attended the “Hard Talk” conference on “The Day After the Presidential Election in the USA" on November 9. Organized by the Hungarian Business Leaders Forum and moderated by Borbala Czako, HBLF president and graduate of the first CEU Business School MBA class, the conference featured an engaging discussion with US Ambassador to Hungary Colleen Bell, and attracted over 110 visitors, representing business leaders, politicians and heads of leading Chambers of Commerce and NGOs, including numerous CEU Business School alumni.

Julius Horvath, professor and head of the Department of Economics, has been named acting dean of CEU Business School, while Julia Buxton, associate dean for academic affairs and programs as well as professor of comparative politics at the School of Public Policy (SPP), has been named acting dean of SPP. Both appointments, made by CEU President and Rector John Shattuck, begin August 1 for a period of one year.

Big Data Insights, an elective course offered for A1MBA and Executive MBA students at CEU Business School earlier this month turned out to be the most popular course this year. Over 60 students participated from all across the School and other CEU departments, some even flew over from the School’s Warsaw partner, WUT Business School.
