The application forms for academic year 2017/2018 are now available online. The revamped online forms are more user-friendly and easy to access from any mobile device. They have been introduced as part of CEU’s newly implemented data management system, which overarches the entire student journey, from prospective students to alumni.
CEU is undertaking a major replacement of its student data management systems – namely, replacing the current Recruitment and Admissions database tool (Embark) and the complete Student Records and academic progress tool (Infosys/UIS). This decision follows several years of assessment, review and research on both what CEU's needs are and solutions available. As a result, a company called Tribal, specifically their product called SITS, has been selected to provide an integrated data management solution for CEU.
This summer, CEU’s Student Recruitment Office, in cooperation with the Alumni Relations Office, scheduled a record number of 47 pre-departure orientation sessions around the world.

CEU hosted over 40 newly accepted students on campus from five countries at the annual Welcome Afternoon on April 14. The Student Recruitment Office welcomed participants to the CEU community and helped newcomers find answers to their questions before enrolling at CEU. For the first time, the event was live streamed in order to accommodate students from outside Hungary, and over 160 accepted students from 50 countries joined in online.
At the end of the first application cycle, the Student Recruitment Office reports a continuing rise in overall applications by CEU’s first and primary deadline of February 4, 2016. CEU saw an overall increase of about 9% compared to last February’s figures. This follows a substantial growth of 40% in application numbers in academic year 2014-2015.
