Maria Kronfeldner, associate professor in the Department of Philosophy, has won a CEU Humanities Initiative grant for her project, entitled Establishing Topics in the Philosophy of the Humanities and Social Sciences (ToPHSS).

In his latest work, Professor Hanoch Ben-Yami, head of the Department of Philosophy at CEU, reassesses the way Descartes developed and justified some of his revolutionary philosophical ideas. The first part of the book argues that one of Descartes' most innovative and influential ideas was that of representation without resemblance. Ben-Yami discusses how Descartes transfers insights originating in his work on analytic geometry to his theory of perception.

Launched in March 2015, Global Learning Fellowship is a CEU initiative administered by the Academic Cooperation and Research Support Office (ACRO) aimed at helping CEU PhD students and recently graduated alumni improve their teaching skills.
