In preparation for the "ERA Mobility and Career Day" event slated for November 2017, the CEU Career Services Office hosted a preparatory event, entitled Careers in Research on May 23.
The presentations on EURAXESS services and RESAVER were followed by an informal meet-up with CEU alumni currently working in research in Europe, returning to CEU to talk to students and young researchers about their experience, successes and challenges on the research job market, and to share their advice.
As the first administrative unit of CEU to attract EU funds to the University, the Career Services Office participates in the project “ERA Mobility and Career Day”, funded by Horizon 2020. The initiative aims to promote the EURAXESS network, an initiative of the European Union and its member states, aiming at supporting mobility and career development and enhancing international collaboration within the European Research Area (ERA).
As CEU moves forward, keeping alumni informed is crucial. That's why Phonathon 2017 students are calling alumni around the world, as a part of a 6-week campaign that ends on April 2. They are eager to find out how everyone's doing and to deliver the latest news, including CEU's bold new strategic planning, academic unit updates, Alumni Campaign news, and this year's Alumni Reunion in Budapest.
Mariana Kotzeva (ECON ’93) was appointed Acting Director-General of Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union located in Luxembourg, effective January 1, 2017.
