Nearly 200 members of the CEU community – students and alumni, faculty and staff – came together this month to learn just how sweet fundraising for good causes can be.
As part of CEU's fourth annual Philanthropy Day, on Friday, November 11, the community raised more than 180,000 HUF in support of student scholarships and refugee assistance.

The old CEU ID cards will not operate from Dec 1. Those who haven't picked up their new ID cards yet (i.e. the cards that work the new security gates) can ask for it at Campus Services Group (Nador 11 Courtyard) between 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm.

Submit Interlibrary Loan book request for the Winter Break (December 19, 2016 - January 2, 2017) by November 30, since books borrowed from abroad may take 2-3 weeks to arrive. Most partner libraries provide limited ILL services during the holiday season. If out of the country for the break, please indicate possible pick-up times in the note field.

The IT helpdesk has moved from the Faculty Tower basement to the CEU Library in Nador utca 15, room 405.
The helpdesk is available for all members of the CEU community visiting the Library. The opening hours match the Library's hours, IT staff are available 8am-10pm on weekdays, and 1pm-7pm at weekends.

Faculty and doctoral students from the Department of Medieval Studies at CEU participated in a conference on Social control and the issues of scale hosted by Beijing Normal University on October 22-23. The conference was the latest result of the nearly five-year-long cooperation between the Department and the BNU School of History. Representatives of the Department agreed with BNU faculty to host the next conference in Budapest in 2018.
