In CEU’s diverse international environment, Mikolaj Zaleski learned to respect diverging opinions and to seek a common denominator. After earning an LL.M in international business law from CEU’s Department of Legal Studies in 2002, Zaleski uses that important skill on a daily basis in his job as a legislative and policy lawyer at the European Commission in Brussels. For example, he helps shape pan-European policy, negotiating with the 27 member states to come up with a proposal for the Common European Sales Law for cross-border transactions.
