Twenty-one participants from nine European countries enjoyed a week-long training in Budapest focusing on university partnerships in the social sciences and humanities. The Erasmus Staff Training Week, organized third time at CEU took place this year between June 25 and 29. International officers, project coordinators, study abroad coordinators, and even career advisors and press officers joined the event from Belarus, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Spain.

The Academic Cooperation and Research Support Office (ACRO) has launched the CEU Academic Funding Schemes web page to help members of the CEU community identify the most suitable internal support schemes for their future projects. The page, available at http://acro.ceu.edu/ceu-funding-0 , hosts links to all academic funding schemes available at CEU, and an overview table (click on “Download PDF”) summarizing the purpose of each scheme, eligibility, timeline, eligible costs and contact information.

At the request of the Provost, the Academic Cooperation and Research Support Office (ACRO) has launched a new initiative that helps doctoral students with obtaining external funding for their research and travel expenses. While CEU provides its doctoral students funding for stipends, as well as research costs, travel and write-up grants, finding additional funding opportunities for their research might also be useful. ACRO aims to actively help PhD students to seek and manage external funding as principal investigators.

The Campus Redevelopment Office has announced that all relocations have completed. The Nador utca 13 and Nador utca 15 buildings are no longer available for use. Medical Assistant Marta Verebes, who arranges reimbursement for medicines for students, has moved to Nador utca 11, Room 002.

The Provost's Office and the CEU Web Unit have developed a way to promote CEU's research excellence by highlighting our many important research projects on the institutional website. The new Research Projects page lists the ongoing projects in chronological order with basic information on each project at http://www.ceu.hu/research/projects.
