Phase 1 of moving the CEU Library to CEU's new Nador 15 building is now complete. The Library features state-of-the-art technology, elegant architectural appointments , comfortable work spaces, and inspiring views both to the Danube and to the interior of the campus.

The Nador 13 and 15 buildings are visibly coming to life every day (Phase I), and work has already begun on Phase II of the project. Here is an overview of the two phases and the progress we have achieved. Phase I: Phase I, Nador 13 and 15, will be completed in August and units will move into these new buildings in time for the start of next academic year. The opening of the two buildings will be only slightly later than originally planned. The General Contractor is committed to the following handover dates:

Due to the ongoing campus reconstruction, TIGY room in Nador 11 building is not bookable anymore. Please note that neither TIGY nor any of the rooms that have gone offline (Nador 11 building Hanak and 203) will return to the booking system. The names of the rooms (TIGY and Hanak) will be re-allocated once the renovated buildings open.

As the completion date of Phase I of the campus redevelopment project is approaching colleagues have been asking about the plans for the next phase of the project and the locations of departments/offices that will be affected by this next phase. The Campus Redevelopment Office is in the midst of finalizing these plans and will have an update for the entire community by the end of this month or early May.

The following relocations have been completed recently: · Roma Access Program moved to Oktober 6/7 building rooms 426, 427, 428; · Source Language Teaching Group and the Center for Eastern Mediterranean Studies fellows moved to Oktober 6/7 building rooms 408-409; · Human RightS Initiative moved to the Linkage area between the Faculty Tower and Oktober 6/12.

The roof of the Oktober 6 Street, No 7 building will be under construction starting as of next week. Initiated by the building owner, this construction will improve the quality of the CEU offices and teaching/learning facilities located on the 4th floor and the overall conditions of the premises. Timeline: Area preparation will start on the 29th of June. Actual work will commence in July and will last until the middle of November.
