Professor Csibra (Department of Cognitive Science) was elected to the fellowship in recognition of his work studying the cognitive capacities of infants.

Cognitive scientists from CEU's Department of Cognitive Science, along with colleagues from other universities, have published their finding about creative problem solving. During sleep, the researchers say, memories are categorized (SEM phase) and new connections made between them (REM phase). These two processes make it easier to find fresh, creative solutions, the scientists suggest in the pages of "Trends in Cognitive Sciences."
