Hungarian weekly Magyar Narancs reports: In an article about the Orban government’s strategy to purchase property back for the state that previously had been privatized, Peter Mihalyi, visiting professor at CEU’s Department of Economics highlighted that each purchase had been a one by one measure by the government, as it did not make a new law on nationalizing back such property.

Provost/Pro-Rector Liviu Matei presented the 2015 CEU Award for Outstanding Research to Professor Botond Koszegi of the Department of Economics at CEU’s 25th Academic Year Opening Ceremony on September 21, 2015. Similarly to the Yrjo Jahnsson Award Koszegi received earlier this year, the CEU Award for Outstanding Research also recognizes his contribution to the theoretical foundations of behavioral economics, and its application to public finance and contract theory.
