Hungarian weekly Magyar Narancs published a comprehensive article about the current state of gender studies in Hungary. According to Andrea Peto, professor at CEU's Department of Gender Studies, teaching gender studies has been present in Hungarian higher education in different forms for years. The article summarizes in what form gender and women studies have been taught in the country, and also quotes CEU gender studies alumna Nikolett Kormos, who describes the varied background of students at the department in terms of nationality, race and previous studies.

Hungarian weekly HVG issued a comprehensive article about gender studies, with explanations of terminology and several experts' comments, including one from Eva Fodor, associate professor at CEU's Department of Gender Studies. Fodor talked about the intersectionality theory of Kimberle Crenshaw in relation to how it would look in terms of the relation of Roma men and women.
