Hungarian monthly Eva Magazin reported on the theory of Philip Zimbardo, professor emeritus of psychology, according to which young men are experiencing a decline in academics, social interactions and concentration. In his eBook co-authored with Nikita Duncan “The Demise of Guys: Why Boys Are Struggling and What We Can Do About It,” he argues that the overuse of video games and porn, absent fathers, economic downturn, failing schools, and legislation favoring women, contribute to many men lacking social skills and direction in their lives.

Hungarian women’s weekly Nok Lapja, in an article about wartime rape, asked for expert commentary from Andrea Peto, professor at CEU’s Department of Gender Studies. Peto explained how data about the victims is collected by historians, how society handled the situation of mothers and children born as a result of rape during World War II, and warns about the potential negative consequences of disclosing the identity of those involved as the burden to carry is heavy and the number of such victims in Hungary is above 40,000.
