Andrea Peto, professor in the department of Gender Studies at CEU, has been reappointed as a member of the Horizon 2020 Advisory Group for Societal Challenge 6 'Europe in a changing world - Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies' for another 2 years (2016-2018) and to the Horizon2020 Advisory Group for Gender by the European Commission.

With her research project on ‘Women and Trade Unions in Europe and internationally, 1920s to 1980s’ Susan Zimmermann, university professor in the Departments of History and Gender Studies at CEU, has won a fellowship at re:work, the International Research Center on Work and Human Life Cycle, Humboldt Universitat zu Berlin, for academic year 2016-17.

Hungarian news portal mandiner.hu reports: A questionnaire by Volkskabin investigated what Hungarians think about gender equality. Based on this, 57% of the respondents believe that it is functioning well in Hungary – this number is slightly less than the EU-average, which is 62%.
