Hungarian weekly HVG reports: Although genetic examinations may indicate diseases, precaution is needed. Judit Sandor, founding director of the Center for Ethics and Law in Biomedicine (CELAB) at CEU, and professor at CEU’s Faculties of Political Science, Legal Studies and Gender Studies, believes that predictive genetic tests should not be carried out without prior and individually tailored consultations, as the expected findings are complex and professional interpretation is also needed after the genetic test with offering treatment or precautionary measures to the individual.
