Central European University and Siemens Zrt. signed a memorandum of understanding October 4 that formalizes a longstanding relationship with a view to enhancing student learning through access to Siemens expertise and technology, especially in environmentally friendly technology. Siemens state-of-the-art technology is an important part of CEU's two new buildings, contributing to energy efficiency and cost savings.

At the June 26 book launch of "Debates of Corruption," CEU Business School Professor Davide Torsello reminded the audience that history shows that there is no country in the world that hasn't been affected by corruption. Torsello was joined by his colleague and co-editor Professor Peter Hardi, director of the Center for Integrity in Business and Government as well as Yale Law School Professor Susan Rose-Ackerman to discuss the volume.

CEU Business School’s Center for Integrity in Business and Government (CIBG), together with the American Chamber of Commerce to Hungary (AmCham), held a Board Simulation exercise at CEU on March 11. Ten practicing lawyers and businesspeople played the role of board members and initiated a lively discussion on integrity dilemmas related to an M&A (mergers and acquisitions) transaction. Members of the audience played the role of shareholders asking and advising the board for further deliberations.

CEU Business School's Center for Integrity in Business and Government (CIBG) held its first full executive training entitled “Managing Integrity: What Executives Need to Know” on June 23-24 in Tbilisi, Georgia. The training was the continuation of two workshops and a pilot executive training held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan in 2012 and in Almaty, Kazakhstan in 2013. 29 business executives and managers from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia participated in the executive training.
