Over 120 guests gathered at OSA on April 9 for the first Hungarian preview of Laura Poitras’ Oscar-winning documentary, CitizenFour. Co-hosted with the Center for Media, Data and Society (CMDS), and with a professional audience of journalists, lawyers, civil society activists, academics and students, the event began with a half-hour live discussion over Skype with Anthony Romero, (executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union, and Edward Snowden's lawyer in the US) and Gill Phillips (director of editorial legal services, The Guardian).

The Open Society Archives (OSA) and the Center for Media, Data and Society (CMDS) co-host a professional preview screening of CITIZENFOUR (2014), winner of the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature at the 2015 Oscars.

The Centre for Media Pluralism and Freedom (CMPF) at the European University Institute in Florence published a policy report entitled "Monitoring Media Pluralism in Europe - Testing and Implementation of the Media Pluralism Monitor 2014" in January. The CMDS team was led by Center researcher Amy Brouillette, together with media and legal experts Peter Bajomi Lazar, Judith Bayer and Borbala Toth.
