CEU's Open Society Archives (OSA) was renamed the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives at a Nov. 3 dedication event in honor of the couple, who have provided a major bequest to sustain the institution. Ambassador Blinken served as U.S. ambassador to Hungary from 1994-1998, and Vera was born in Budapest, fleeing to the United States with her widowed mother in 1950.

The 55 films will be about surveillance states, refugee experiences, drone warriors, left-wing radicals, censored testimonies, anti-globalist fighters, totalitarian role-games, archival treasures, secret police confessions and environmental activists.
