Hungarian weekly HVG interviewed Miklos Tamasi, founder and head of Fortepan, about the online photo archive and how his life led him to set up this archive. Tamasi used to work at the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives (OSA) at CEU before focusing solely on Forteplan.

CEU's Open Society Archives (OSA) was renamed the Vera and Donald Blinken Open Society Archives at a Nov. 3 dedication event in honor of the couple, who have provided a major bequest to sustain the institution. Ambassador Blinken served as U.S. ambassador to Hungary from 1994-1998, and Vera was born in Budapest, fleeing to the United States with her widowed mother in 1950.
