Center for Cognitive Computation (Department of Cognitive Science)

The mission of CCC is to promote interdisciplinary research that investigates computational and biological bases of human and animal cognition with the tools of formal sciences. The center is dedicated to explore, develop, apply and disseminate methods, concepts and frameworks that utilize the apparatus of mathematics, statistics, theoretical computer science, systems theory and decision theory in order to understand and build models of higher cognitive functions of the brain. The focus of the center is on advancing biologically grounded and computationally feasible approaches that can help understanding and reproduce intelligent behavior and learning.
