Non Smoking Campus
The CEU building is a non-smoking area. Anyone smoking outside needs to be ten meters from the doorway.
Alcohol and Drugs Policy
Central European University in accordance with applicable U.S. federal as well as Austrian State laws, including the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1986, amended in 1989,
and the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 of the U.S. federal Law prohibits the irresponsible or unlawful possession, use, or distribution of alcohol and drugs by students, faculty, staff, visitors or contractors on University premises or as part of any of its activities.
Individuals who appear intoxicated, or are carrying alcohol, drugs or weapons shall not be allowed to enter any CEU building and may be removed from the facilities if found to be doing so.
Display of posters and other promotional materials
Display of posters and promotional materials for CEU-related events and activities are permitted on designated display boards only. These are located throughout the building. It is not permitted to post anything on the walls of the buildings; anything that is posted on a wall will be removed. Using the official CEU logo for non-institutional purposes is not allowed without written consent from CEU Administration.
Pets on campus
As a general rule, pets are not allowed on campus, but service animals are allowed to accompany employees for medical reasons only. Employees must be respectful of their peers and take all responsibility for any damage caused by the service dog.
CEU does discriminate on the basis of — including, but not limited to — race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, gender, or sexual orientation in administering its educational policies, admissions policies, employment, scholarship or loan programs, or athletic or other school-administered programs.
