Campus Security

General Information

Please see detailed emergency protocolls for both campuses in the attachment at the bottom of the page

European Emergency hotline in case of serious, life-threatening emergencies: 112 available 24 hours (in case of life-threatening emergencies this number should be dialed first, and then the Campus Security if there is time) 0 should be dialed first if calling from a CEU landline phone.

Campus

Criminal actions, potential criminal actions and other emergencies on campus should be reported immediately by dialing the reception desk (please see contacts below for both campuses)

Students, faculty and staff members should make accurate and prompt reports in order to assist in notifying the appropriate authorities. Callers should identify themselves and the location from which they are calling, as well as briefly describing the problem and the situation. They should not leave—unless advised otherwise for safety reasons—the location from where they placed the emergency call.

A closed security system is installed on campuses.

Off-campus

In case of emergency (criminal action, fire, accident, etc.) dial 112 (SIM card not required). In addition to German/Hungarian, the call may be answered in English.
